Wolverines for life is a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan community, the American Red Cross, Be the Match, Gift of Life Michigan, Eversight, and Team Michigan. We are students, athletes, alumni, staff, faculty and campus and hospital leadership and we are allied with a common purpose: dedication to saving lives through donations.
Our goals are straightforward
- Implement a University-wide zero tolerance policy for:
- organ wait list deaths
- deaths due to lack of blood products
- deaths due to lack of bone marrow matches
- Educate each member of the U-M community about the need for donors
Become a Wolverine for Life today by learning more about how you can become a life-saving donor.

Be a Hero at the Big House is the largest single-day campus blood drive in the University of Michigan's history. The blood drive is a part of the Blood Battle against Ohio State University, while simultaneously encouraging individuals to join the organ donor registry and bone marrow registry. Avoid the wait by making your blood donation appointment beforehand.
This event is hosted at Michigan Stadium in the Jack Roth Stadium Club. Stop by to take a photo with one of our special guests from high above the Michigan Stadium. We will have snacks, t-shirts, games for the kids, giveaways, and more! More information here.
